Scope
This policy describes how the current Android version of Audio Toolkit handles information when you record, import, edit, organize, export, and share audio.
Information accessed and stored
Audio Toolkit processes audio locally on your device. It does not require an account. The inspected application does not send recordings, library information, or preferences to the developer and does not include advertising, analytics, or remote crash-reporting SDKs.
The app accesses your microphone after you grant Android microphone permission and start recording. Recordings may contain voices or other personal information. Recording stops and the app attempts to save your take when you leave the app. You can revoke microphone permission in Android settings and continue using your existing library.
When you import audio, the app accesses the file you select through Android’s document picker, including its contents and display name. It creates an editable mono WAV copy in its private storage and leaves the original unchanged. If you select a file supplied by a cloud document provider, that provider may retrieve the file under its own privacy practices.
The app stores recordings, imported copies, and exported audio in its private storage. It also stores audio names, favorites, collection names and assignments, file metadata, your last selected file, recording quality, and repeat-playback preferences. File metadata includes duration, sample rate, bit depth, format, and size. Waveform information is calculated locally from audio.
Purposes of processing
Audio and related information are used to record and play sound, display waveforms and file details, trim audio, adjust export volume, convert formats, organize your library, and restore preferences. Audio processing and conversion take place on your device without cloud audio processing.
Sharing and third-party components
Audio Toolkit does not automatically upload or share your audio with the developer or third parties. When you choose Share, Android lets you select another app. The selected app receives read access to the chosen audio file and can access its display name and size. Its handling of the file is governed by that app’s privacy practices, including any uploading or further sharing it performs.
The app uses Android platform capabilities for recording, decoding, playback, file selection, and sharing, together with AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, and Kotlin components. The inspected dependencies contain no advertising, analytics, or remote crash-reporting services. Although the Android manifest declares internet permission, the inspected audio and library features do not implement network transfers.
Retention and temporary files
Saved audio remains in the app’s private storage until you delete it, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. The app has no scheduled expiration for saved audio or preferences.
Temporary files support importing, playback, and recovery of interrupted recordings. The app attempts to remove temporary import files after processing. Captured audio may be preserved after an interruption or saving failure so that the app can attempt recovery. A temporary playback copy may remain in the app’s cache until replaced or cleared.
Deleting an audio item removes that audio file but does not necessarily remove its associated name, favorite, or collection entries from preferences. These entries may remain until you clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. Deleting an original recording also does not automatically delete separately saved exports.
Deletion and your choices
Use the app’s Delete action to remove individual audio files. To remove all locally stored app data, including preferences and temporary files, clear Audio Toolkit’s storage through Android settings or uninstall the app. Save or share files you want to keep before doing so.
Deleting data in Audio Toolkit does not delete original files imported from elsewhere or copies already shared with other apps. Manage those copies in their respective locations or services.
You may send privacy questions or deletion requests to mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com. The developer cannot remotely access or delete files that remain only on your device; use the local deletion controls described above.
Security
The app uses Android’s private app storage for saved audio and preferences. Its sharing provider is not publicly exported and grants read access to selected files through Android’s sharing mechanism. Android application backup is disabled in the current configuration.
The inspected application does not implement additional file encryption or a network transmission service. Encryption in transit for transfers performed by another app or document provider depends on that service. No storage or sharing method can guarantee absolute security.
Technical error information
The app writes some operational errors and exception details to Android’s local system logs to help diagnose recording, import, playback, and file problems. The inspected code does not send these logs to a developer-operated service.
Children’s privacy
The available information does not establish a specific intended age group. The current app does not have accounts or developer-side collection of children’s information. Audio can contain personal information about children or other people, so consider its contents and obtain appropriate permission before recording or sharing it.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to Audio Toolkit or its data practices. Review the policy available with the app’s listing for updates.
